Dear Minister MacKay,
I feel it will be yet another lose for Newfoundland if it does not go ahead with the Garrick Theatre. I lived in Port Hawkesbury ,N.S. for 30 years and live theatre was and is becoming even a bigger attraction, and so enjoyed by all the town people and the surrounding area. Now we live in Louisbourg and there is live theatre every night starting in late spring through to late fall ,and a special at Christmas .It is a huge sucess and bring in people from all over the whole and the town people also support it .It is called "The play house",and is a wonderful place for tourist to go to pass an evening. It would be tragic for the town if this theatre ever closed . After saying this I hope you'll realize the importance of keeping things alive in Newfounland instead of closing them .Also i'm aware it takes money and hard work, but people of the island are not afraid to put their heart and soul into this project. When we come to NFLD to visit it would be nice to have something like this to go out to enjoy. PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT FOR YOUR PROVINCE TO KEEP THINGS ALIVE .
Yours sincerely,
Molly Troke
