Dear Minister MacKay,

I am writing to you on behalf of the Garrick Theatre project. I think it is a great idea.

It would boost the tourism. People would have something else to do when they come here in the summer.

Maybe it might even increase the population of Bonavista. If there are more jobs because of tourism, more people will stay here or move here.

Our grandparents and parents have had the chance to see at least one movie here in our hometown and we children would like the opportunity to watch them here as well.

Also the chlidren would like to have a movie to watch every Saturday. Whenever we want to see a movie, the closest theatre is at Clarenville,a hour's drive away.

The Garrick Theatre is a Historic Landmark. It's been there for over fifty years. We would like it very much to say we have a theatre here and be proud of it.
