Dear Minister MacKay,

I am writing to tell you that I think you should sponcer the restoraion project for the Garrick Theatre.

The Garrick Theatre would give most people something to do. Isn't watching a movie on a boring Friday night one of the best ways to spend your time?

It would cost less money for us to go to a theatre in Bonavista. Instead of having to drive to Clarenville or St. John's, we would just have to walk up the road. We would save loads of money on gas.

Tourists would come and stay longer. Instead of staying a day or two to look at the historical things around Bonavista the tourists might stay three or four days to see a movie or a concert too.

Seeing a concert or play will help us learn more. If we see things from another part of our province or country it would teach us about our culture.
