Dear Minister MacKay,

My name is Kaitlyn Oldford.I am 11 years old. Even though I didn't work at the Garrick I am very close to some people that did. For instance, my Grandfather's best friend, John Bradley, owned the Garrick. I knew Mr. Bradley very well. My Grandfather was Leo Fleming and he worked at the Garrick with Mr. Bradley until he donated it to the Bonavista Historical Society.

I think it is a great idea for the government to restore the Garrick. Some good reasons for there to be a theatre in Bonavista are 1: there will be more for kids to do so there won't be as many kids bored 2: There will be more places for the tourists to visit and it will make more tourists come to watch the movies or performances 3: we will be spending money in our town 4: It would be somewhere to go with the family and 5: There will be more jobs for people.

See us kids can think of lots of reasons for finishing the Garrick Theatre too, you know.

If you restore the Garrick you will get a lot of thank you letters on our behalf.

Please finish renovating the Garrick For us kids!

Yours sincerely,
Kaitlyn Oldford
