Dear Minister MacKay,

I'm writing this letter to tell you that I think the Garrick Theatre is the best thing to ever happen to this community and it's a shame not to finish it. I mean it's half finished , so why not do the rest?

Well I know about the money and all but I bet that in no time the theatre will be up and running especially if everybody in this community feels the same way as I do about the theatre.

It's a big part of our heritage. I know that my grandfather was a projectionist there a long time ago. A lot of people went there when they were young. The building has been in Bonavista for over fifty years.

Having the theatre will give more life to our tourist attractions. They will have more to do at night and maybe they will stay longer.

Don't worry, just give us time and eventually we'll have our share of the money. If there's any other community out there that's more cooperative than we are than I'm SHOCKED because I think Bonavista is a town that can work together!

I think we deserve a decent theatre and if we're the town I think we are then we'll all take a stand for OUR theatre - the GARRICK!
